As a Residential Direct Support Professional, you’ll play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, including medication administration, meal planning, transportation, and personal care. You’ll help clients manage their budgets, maintain a safe and clean environment, and achieve their personal goals through Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSPs).

• Daily Support:
  
  Provide day-to-day services in residential settings, including training, meal preparation, and shopping.
• Health & Safety:
  
  Administer medications as prescribed, monitor health concerns, and maintain emergency equipment. Report health changes and incidents promptly.
• Financial Assistance:
  
  Help clients manage budgets, maintain spending records, and organize receipts.
• Community Engagement:
  
  Support clients in participating in community activities and accessing local resources.
• Client Development:
  
  Work closely with clients to meet their personal goals, ensuring PCSPs are implemented and documented effectively.
• Home Maintenance:
  
  Maintain a clean and safe living environment, assisting with cleaning, laundry, and other household tasks.

• Required:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Automobile liability insurance as required by the State of Kansas.
• Preferred:
• One year of experience providing direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, document progress accurately, and use basic computer skills.
• Commitment to respecting the rights and dignity of all clients.
