Family Advocacy Program Assistant

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for full-time Family Advocacy Program Assistant to provide services to military families at Barksdale Air Force Base.

The Family Advocacy Program Assistant (FAPA) is a member of multidisciplinary Family Advocacy Program team and is responsible for providing administrative, technical, and prevention services. FAPA shall provide administrative and computer support for maltreatment intervention, NPSP, and secondary prevention components, as well as managing computer resources.

$20.75/hour

• The FAPA is responsible for maintenance of automated data collection systems including the FAPNet
• Shall ensure maltreatment data is entered into FAPNet within fifteen (15) calendar days after the CCS
• Provide administrative and computer support for maltreatment intervention, New Parent Support Program (NPSP), and secondary prevention components via FAPNet and other software programs, as well as managing computer resources
• Provide information in conjunction with the FAPM regarding patient satisfaction, recidivism, and clinical outcome measures
• Assist in the research and evaluation program by administering data collection assessment instruments to individuals referred to the FAP
• Process and score instruments initially and follow up as specified by the FAPM or DAF FAP
• Assist the Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist (FAIS) in administering, scoring, and maintaining secondary prevention program measurement instructions in support of Secondary Prevent and Client Engagement (SPaCE)
• Work in collaboration with the prevention team to provide supportive services to NPSP clients under the oversight of the NPSP primary case management
• Occasionally accompany a Family Advocacy Nurse, Family Advocacy Treatment Manager, FAIS, and FAPM to home visits
• Provide prevention services, briefings, educational presentations, and activities targeted to installation leadership, active duty and family members, community, and base agencies as needed and approved by the FAPM
• May provide orientation and annual training to Squadron Commanders and First Sergeants as directed by FAPM
• Make notes within 72 hours within record if making direct contact with FAP maltreatment contacts or clients with open NPSP records

• Should have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Education, Teacher Certification Program, Social Behavior, Human Behavior, or Health Care
• Should have one year of experience working within a setting providing domestic abuse, child maltreatment, or mental health treatment
• Shall be proficient in using Microsoft Office as well as various databases and software programs
• The FAPA shall have experience in developing educational curriculum with defined learning objectives and outcomes
