DETAILED

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Act as liaison between management, health care providers, and support staff to ensure communication between these groups. Instruct and advise support staff on changes in policies, procedures, or working standards.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of Patient Service Representatives and/or Patient Account Representatives. Perform all aspects of unit-specific tasks to ensure all tasks of the revenue cycle are completed. Maintain accurate provider schedules in the computer system. Complex decision-making and problem resolution.
  • Maintain accurate provider schedules in the computer system.
  • Resolve complex billing issues.
  • Assist with performance monitoring and evaluations, interviewing, hiring, discipline, and termination decisions.
  • Oversee and complete various department-specific projects. Perform supervisory functions necessary to maintain daily operations.
  • Provide leadership role to staff members utilizing knowledge gained through experience. Monitor daily workflow and production, adjusting priorities, requesting temporary help, adjusting schedules, and time off requests, as necessary.
  • Review/audit contracted collection agencies for appropriate collections.
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of unit coverage and continuity of care.
