As a PTA at Ellisville Rehab & Nursing, you will provide essential care to our residents by:
Administering therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and completing all required documentation.
Preparing, maintaining, and cleaning treatment areas, including prepping equipment and residents for therapy.
Orienting and reassuring residents during therapy while ensuring their safety.
Performing routine office duties, such as answering phones, receiving residents, and maintaining records.
Recommending improvements to therapy methods and procedures to the Physical Therapist.
Demonstrating and instructing residents and nursing personnel on exercises, positioning, transfers, and use of medical appliances.
Assisting with resident discharge planning, coordinating equipment, and assistive devices with input from the Physical Therapist.
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
A valid professional license and registration in the state of Missouri.
Experience in long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
