We are actively hiring an Oncology Research Scribe to support our Valkyrie Clinical Trials Century City, Los Angeles, CA site.

Onsite, Century City, Los Angeles, California.

Non-Exempt

Monday to Friday, Part Time, 30 hours per week.

$22-$26 per hour (depending on experience)

The Oncology Research Scribe works alongside research oncologists and study staff during patient visits to capture accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EMR and study source. This role serves as a key support function, enabling physicians to focus on direct patient care. By ensuring visit notes, orders, and follow-up items are captured completely and correctly the first time, the Scribe directly supports faster patient throughput, stronger protocol compliance, and a smoother experience for patients considering or enrolled in a clinical trial.

• A. Accompany research oncologists during patient encounters to document the history of present illness, review of systems, exam findings, assessment, and plan in real time in the EMR.
• B. Accurately transcribe physician dictation and observed clinical findings into structured EMR fields, study source, and templates.
• C. Enter and route follow-up orders (labs, imaging, referrals, scheduling) as directed by the physician during or immediately after the visit.
• D. Flag incomplete or ambiguous documentation to the physician for clarification before the note is finalized.
• E. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient health information in accordance with HIPAA and site policy.
• F. Coordinate with clinical research coordinators to ensure visit documentation aligns with protocol-required source data.
• G. Track and close out same-day follow-up items (results review, callbacks, prior authorizations) to prevent documentation backlog.
• H. Escalate recurring documentation or workflow issues to the Site Director to support continuous improvement in First Time Quality.
