New Florence, MO Aspire Senior Living New Florence is seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Director to join our dedicated team of care professionals. As a key member of our community,
Activities Director will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents. Our aim is to enhance the lives of everyone we touch, and we believe that our residents' happiness and well‑being are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role:

As our ideal candidate,
Activities Director will possess a passion for working with seniors and a talent for creating memorable experiences.
Activities Director primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a monthly activity calendar that reflects the interests and abilities of our residents
  • Collaborating with our care team to create meaningful experiences for residents with varying levels of cognitive and physical abilities
  • Leading and participating in activities, such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, and social events, to promote socialization and community engagement
  • Recruiting and managing volunteer activity assistants to support program delivery
  • Maintaining accurate records of activity participation and resident feedback
  • Identifying and addressing the social, emotional, and recreational needs of our residents
Requirements:
  • Leadership experience, including staff supervision, program development, and budget management, is advantageous
  • Previous experience in activity programming, recreation therapy, or a related role within a long-term care or healthcare setting is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in computer skills for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes
  • Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles, activity planning techniques, and age-appropriate interventions for diverse populations
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and resident needs within a dynamic long-term care environment
