About the Role:As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will play a vital role in our therapy team, working closely with our licensed therapists to provide high-quality patient care. You will assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient treatment plans, and help to promote patient independence and well-being. Responsibilities:- Assist licensed therapists with patient assessments, treatment plans, and interventions
- Implement exercises and modalities as prescribed by the therapist
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the therapist
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and outcomes
- Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on proper exercises and self-care techniques
- Participate in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of Missouri
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in physical therapy or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA); experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed
