Associate Director, Search and Evaluation, focused on identifying and assessing external innovations for potential licensing, acquisition, or collaboration in rare disease therapeutic areas, particularly nephrology, metabolic, and other rare diseases.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with scientific leaders to define external innovation strategies, source and evaluate assets, lead due diligence, negotiations, and integration of deals, and maintain industry relationships to inform search strategies.
RequirementsBachelor’s in Life Sciences; 8+ years in biotech/pharma with experience in business development, search and evaluation, and asset licensing; strong scientific acumen with familiarity in rare diseases, immunology, nephrology, or metabolism preferred; proven deal evaluation success.
High Valuerare disease focus, therapeutic areas including nephrology and metabolic diseases, asset evaluation, licensing, and collaboration, with exposure to drug development from discovery through clinical phases.
Work SetupBased in San Diego, with up to 30% domestic and international travel; not fully remote.
