Stovepipe is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Death Valley National Park. POWDR operates Stovepipe Wells under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.

** Full Time, Year-Round Historic Stovepipe Wells Village has an 83-room hotel, 14 full hook-up RV sites, restaurant, saloon, pool, gas station, and general store. Stovepipe Wells Village is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Death Valley National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment.
Substantial renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed. POWDR operates Stovepipe Wells under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*** The Front Desk Lead will assist the Lodging Manager in ensuring a welcoming, friendly environment at the Front Desk for all guests and team members
* Oversee Night Audit and work as relief Night Audit two nights a week
* Answer phones, handle reservations and respond to guest inquiries
* Resolve any issues related to Lodging in the absence of the Lodging Manager
* Assist Lodging Manager with team member scheduling
* Be familiar with local points of interest and the location of services in and around Death Valley National Park that might be requested by guests such as eateries, sundries, refreshments, tourist attractions and local events
* Ensure current information regarding weather, road conditions, night sky viewing, etc. is posted daily
* Be observant for activities requiring immediate attention, notify the MOD as problems arise
* Documents team member issues and manage accordingly based on policy and procedure
* Promotes overall enjoyable team member experience by implementing positivity and fun in daily operations
* Ensure Front Desk team is following all check list and other procedures as directed by the Lodging Manager
* Learn and demonstrate ISO/ESQ program, environmental, safety and quality roles, responsibilities and program requirements
* Maintain a flexible schedule and provide coverage support as needed, in coordination with management, to ensure operational continuity. Due to the nature of our business, this role requires availability to work weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.
This position may require standing for extended periods and the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
* Proposed wages of $22.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
* Optional on - site RV space available at no cost.
* Employee Dining Room (EDR) available at no cost to staff during designated meal periods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
