Responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operation of the Pool Area and Cabanas under the direction of the VIP Services Manager. Accountable for providing unparalleled service to all internal and external customers. Be knowledgeable of all Casino, promotions, and property happenings. Ensure that all guests’ needs are met at the end of each interaction.
QUALIFICATIONS- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook, including other related systems.
- Ability to train all new team members in all required programs to perform job function.
- Possess the ability to make sound decisions pertaining to the department’s needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Pleasant and outgoing personality.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in demanding situations/busy environment.
- High school education or GED.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Pala Gaming License.
- Maintain the day-to-day operations of Pool Area and Cabanas under direction of the VIP Casino Services Manager.
- Manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs.
- Responsible for ensuring pool set up and breakdown is completed each day (chair placement, general cleaning, retail displays, etc.).
- Maintain awareness of guest experience at all times, smile, make eye contact, and communicate professionally.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays due to business needs.
- Train all new team members in all required programs to perform job function.
- Ensure folders are up to date with current events, happenings, and all pertinent information.
- Monitor cabana reservations.
- Speak to guests in an attentive, natural, and courteous manner, avoiding pretension.
- Create a sense of recognition by using the guest’s last name, when known, in a natural and discreet manner.
- Consistently monitor the team to ensure that the highest standards of guest service are always offered and maintained.
- Ensure Pool Cabana Hosts have completed the AM and PM checklists each day.
- Conduct daily pre-shift prior to the opening of the pool and at the start of each shift.
- Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention; immediately report and/or complete an appropriate accident report form if an accident occurs.
- Run daily/weekly reports and perform all duties relative to the job assignment in the most productive and professional manner.
- Order office items needed for the pool area.
- Inform the manager when new signage and supplies need to be ordered.
- Coordinate with Guest Safety Management to have a Guest Safety officer present during closing time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
