Reports to:

Director of Catering Operations, Banquet Department

• Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times and in a warm, enthusiastic and friendly manner.
• Continuously monitor the guest’s service level and comfort at all times.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines.
• Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Take ownership of all guest compliments or complaints and relay the same to management.
• Meet with function group leader to determine last‑minute changes and discuss various set‑up arrangements.
• Ensure proper cleaning of all equipment after functions are completed.
• Supervise assigned banquet team members throughout functions.
• Assist staff with room set‑ups, food service, and clean up when necessary.
• Maintain Driftwood and hotel standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering an exceptional product.
• Must have a departmental radio system with ear‑piece at all times.
• Attend required meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
  • Adjusts to high‑pressure conditions and is open to change.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
  • Conducts themselves, acts, and dresses professionally at all times.

  • Relevant experience of banquet functions and/or supervisory experience is required.
  • A basic understanding of and ability to speak Spanish is useful but is not a requirement.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Minimum lifting and/or pulling of 40 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • If weight exceeds 40 pounds, asking for assistance is required.
