The Event Set-up is responsible for setting up and breaking down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift moderate weight. This is a fast paced position.
Services guests, set up all meetings according to the guidelines of the B.E.O. Place all items (boxes, pencils, pads, etc.) that are needed for each function in its respectful place. Maintain complete knowledge of all meeting rooms, tables, chairs, props and surrounding areas. Make sure all banquet rooms and function spaces will have proper temperature and lighting controls ensuring all equipment is set to client satisfaction.
All Business Center products and services are to be readily available 24-hours a day .
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
:
1) Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups, daily house count, hours of operation of each outlet.
2) Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, 86'd items, liquor brands beers and non-alcoholic selections available
3) Communicate effectively with other staff members.
4) complete knowledge of proper table set-ups, room capacity
5) Promote positive work relationships in a team environment and with all departments.
6) Ensure security and confidentiality of associate and hotel information.
7) Advocate and display work habits that promote accident prevention.
8) Follow and ensure proper application of emergency procedures.
Qualifications1) Ability to multi-task.
2) Strong sense of urgency especially in fulfilling guest needs.
3) Maintains positive attitude, supports and promotes team initiatives.
4) Professional presentation and clear communication skills
5) Ability to remain calm, cool, and levelheaded in an emergency or high-pressure situation.
