Talent Manager, Employee Relations

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to designated business units and leadership teams. This role provides HR expertise and guidance to support organizational goals, drive employee engagement, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
The HRBP balances proactive HR strategy with responsive solutions, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and respect.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand unit goals, challenges, and workforce planning needs.
- Translate organizational objectives into HR initiatives that support performance, engagement, and growth.
- Provide consultative support on organizational design, resource allocation, and change management.
- Counsel managers and employees on employee relations issues, including performance concerns, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
- Conduct investigations when necessary, ensuring thoroughness, confidentiality, and consistency with company policy and applicable laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, OSHA).
- Support compliance with workplace laws and regulations; partner with legal or external counsel when appropriate.
- Assist in recruitment planning, interviewing strategies, and selection processes to attract diverse and qualified talent.
- Support onboarding, orientation, and integration of new hires.
- Partner with leadership to implement performance management programs that reinforce growth and accountability.
- Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of leadership development, employee skills training, and compliance education.
- Champion initiatives that build leadership capacity and enhance organizational culture.
- Track and analyze HR metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, or presentations for leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience with demonstrated expertise in employee relations, performance management, and strategic partnership.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors.
- Change management or project leadership experience.
- Typical office environment with periodic travel to company sites as needed.
- May require occasional evening or weekend availability.
