HR and Recruiting Generalist - nonprofit

We're looking for an HR and Recruiting Generalist (aka: culture champion, onboarding expert, and HR problem-solver).

If you love helping people succeed at work, enjoy keeping things organized behind the scenes, and can balance compliance with compassion, this role might be for you.

Non-profit experience is a MAJOR plus!

As an HR and Recruiting Generalist, you'll help keep the employee experience running smoothly from a candidate's first interview to performance reviews, learning opportunities, and everything in between. You'll partner with managers, support employees, and help strengthen a positive, mission-driven workplace culture.

This role is fully onsite, collobrative environment and a chance to work with the best.

• Own and manage the full recruitment and onboarding experience - from job postings to first-day welcomes.
• Be a go-to HR resource for employees and managers with questions, guidance, and support.
• Help run performance reviews, trainings, and engagement initiatives that keep our team growing.
• Keep our HR systems, records, and audits organized and compliant.
• Support intern and volunteer onboarding and help mentor HR interns.
• Partner with leadership on HR projects, policies, and people programs.

• You have 3-5 years of HR experience and know your way around HR operations.
• You're organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy with confidential information.
• You understand California employment laws and HR best practices.
• You're a strong communicator who genuinely enjoys helping people.
• Bonus points for nonprofit experience, bilingual skills, or HR certification.

You’ll play an important part in shaping employee experience, supporting a mission-driven team, and helping people do their best work - all while building strong HR programs that make a real impact.

This is a temp to hire role. No relocation offered.
