The RoleWe are seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to deliver high‑impact initiatives across the full employee lifecycle and support our vision to enable quality learning every day. Reporting to the Manager of Business Partnering, this person will partner with their client groups, identify issues and solve them, and play a key role in implementing school‑wide P&C projects.
This is a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity based primarily at our new Shelford campus.
Key Duties- Partner with leadership to design and deliver initiatives aligned to strategy
- Provide expert advice across ER, remuneration, workforce planning and organisational change
- Influence and coach leaders to strengthen capability for leaders and their teams
- Working closely with Talent Acquisition to determine effective attraction, recruitment and selection strategies
- Coach managers and employees through performance and conduct matters
- Lead compliant contract and lifecycle management in Workday, ensuring data integrity
- Lead and support P&C projects to optimise systems, redesign processes, enhance employee engagement and drive continuous improvement through evidence‑based recommendations and change adoption
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
- Strong consulting capability with extensive generalist People & Culture experience across the employee lifecycle.
- Expert knowledge of employment legislation, Awards, and employee relations with proven ability to manage complex ER matters.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret workforce data and provide insights to support evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Proven experience in policy development, performance management, organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong ability to influence, coach and build capability in leaders at all levels.
- Hold a current or willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.
