Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HRIS Specialist, HR Generalist / Talent Management
Responsibilities
Own the LOA process: coordinate leaves with HR, Workday, Payroll and leave of absence vendor, perform benefit reconciliations (ensure benefit premium payments are paid when an employee is out on leave), and ensure compliancy (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
- Support all business units with benefits-related inquiries and processes in Canada.
- Be the main point of contact for benefits-related inquiries and issues for Corrosion Protection (US).
- Act as a Benefits administrator in Workday (make changes, approve eligibility, make corrections, terminate benefits).
- Coordinate with Matrix, HR at their locations, and with Payroll.
- Use judgement and technical knowledge about FMLA/ADA to evaluate and resolve issues and ensure appropriate leave classification.
- Provide customer support, research cases and find root causes, and take action to fix them, including getting in contact with vendors and providers.

- Document processes, perform analysis, and create reports on existing employee benefits data and market trends.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree (Human Resources, Business, or Information Systems preferred).
- CEBS Certification a plus.
- 3 years of Benefits experience with at least 1 year of LOA.
- Prior experience with managing FMLA. Familiar with applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA and state and local laws; create reports, as necessary.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and meet stringent deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with Workday or other HRIS/online benefit enrollment systems.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
