We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations for our Los Angeles team. This role will partner closely with managers and employees across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including offer letters, new-hire documentation, I-9 verification, and exit procedures.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, leave, and workplace concerns.
  • Support employee relations matters, conduct initial fact-finding, and elevate sensitive issues appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while protecting confidential information.
  • Assist with payroll, benefits enrollment, leave administration, and workers’ compensation coordination.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with California labor laws, including wage-and-hour, meal/rest breaks, paid sick leave, leave of absence, and personnel-file requirements.
  • Support performance review, training, engagement, and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Help update employee handbooks, HR policies, and compliance postings as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of progressive HR Generalist or related HR experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of California employment and labor laws.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, and HR compliance.
  • Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
