Recruiter / Talent Acquisition
The Human Resources Recruiting Specialist is responsible for finding applicants for available positions. Responsibilities encompass employee recruitment activities including participation in job fairs explaining benefits and company policies. The Human Resources Recruiting Specialist will review applicants, evaluate qualifications and hire employees. The position also assists with New Employee Orientation and administers the applicant tracking system used by the company. This position is a key contributor to the business, partnering closely with hiring managers and Human Resources partners to develop comprehensive recruitment strategies that enhance our ability to attract and secure top talent.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ideal candidate profiles
- Publish job advertisements for open positions
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies using various techniques and channels including online databases, employee referrals, cold-calling, and professional organizations
- Utilize our applicant tracking system to efficiently manage the recruitment process
- Evaluate applicant qualifications compared to job requirements, schedule and conduct interviews
- Provide a seamless & positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment & hiring process
- Meet with applicants and explain benefits, company policies and parameters of the job
- Conduct background and reference checks on applicants
- May assist with New Employee Orientations
- Participate in local job fairs and hiring events
- Establish and maintain robust external networks, bring fresh ideas and out-of-the-box thinking to hire top talent
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers, advising them on talent landscapes and recruiting strategies
- Stay updated on market trends and best practices in recruitment
- Follow established processes while identifying opportunities for greater efficiency
- Ensure ongoing communication with hiring managers and internal partners
- Analyze sourcing and recruiting metrics, using data to inform future strategies
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives by sourcing and engaging a diverse pool of candidates
- Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location.
- Interact and communicate with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
- Availability on site to confer with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis.
- Communicate via email, prepare reports and communicate work schedules.
- Review and analyze applicant data and information.
- Plan, prioritize and monitor hiring activities.
- Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
No direct management or supervisory responsibilities.
SafetyObserve safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to eye and toe protection during visits to the manufacturing floor. Report potentially unsafe conditions; and use equipment and materials properly. Follow department-specific safety requirements during visits to the production floor.
TravelApproximately 15% travel is required to commute between the Quaker campuses, to attend job fairs and recruiting events.
QualificationsAn individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software:
Excel, Word, Outlook - Basic Knowledge of state and federal law governing Human Resources
- Proficient in an applicant tracking system and other related platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures, including legal recruiting requirements
