Datacenter Operations Technician – Join Our Dynamic Tech Team!

Are you someone who enjoys working hands-on with servers, cables, and network gear in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Datacenter Operations Technician with solid experience to join our 24x7 infrastructure operations team. You will play a key role in keeping our Datacenter humming smoothly—from racking and cabling to troubleshooting and vendor coordination.

This role is for someone who has prior hands-on experience in an Enterprise Datacenter environment and enjoys being on the front lines of technology operations.

What You ll Be Doing Day-to-Day Operations
  • Install and set up of servers, switches, routers, and other hardware devices.
  • Perform cable patching and labelling activities as per the Datacenter standards.
  • Keep detailed records of tasks in the ticketing system and inventory system.
  • Configure basic network interfaces (e.g., KVM, DRAC/ILO).
Troubleshooting & Support
  • Resolve network-related issues and perform cable swaps (Ethernet/Fiber).
  • Check device power and LED alarm indicators and perform troubleshooting activities.
  • Troubleshooting of copper and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
  • Execute reboots and perform initial diagnostics as per the defined process/procedures.
  • Support incident and problem management as part of a global 24x7 support team.
  • Rack/de-rack hardware and handle decommissioning tasks.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cables (MM, SM, copper).
  • Escort and coordinate with external vendors as needed.
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise Datacenter operations or support role.
  • Working knowledge of servers, switches, routers, and structured cabling.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Comfortable working in night and rotational shifts.
  • Certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, or other IT infrastructure) are a plus.
