QA Manual Tester

6-month contract-to-hire position, not open to 3rd party vendors or c2c, must be a US Citizen

Seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Quality Assurance Manual Tester to join a testing team; will execute manual testing procedures, develop test cases, and ensure the quality and functionality on internal software, PC desktop-based applications and web applications to identify bugs, defects, missing requirements and other potential issues.

• Review design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of software product.
• Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate. Parameters may include general function, validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines.
• Identify, log and recreate error codes, bugs and defects.
• Report defects to the programming team while identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates.
• Make sure Jira tickets are properly transitioned and closed.

• 2-4 years of Manual QA software testing.
• Experience with regression / black box, white box, smoke, UAT testing
• Postman, Table Plus, Jira, and Bitbucket experience is required.
• Extensive knowledge of software and database testing include designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication is required.
• Experience with QA test cases is required.
• Creating test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications is required.
• Knowledge of the different software development environments, including Programming, QA, Beta Test or User Acceptance, and Production is required.
• Knowledge of Apple MacOS, Microsoft Windows, and Linux is required.
• High level computer skills including e-mail, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or technical field is preferred
