Principal Migration Technical Lead

We are seeking a Technical Migration Lead to drive and oversee large-scale AWS migration initiatives within a complex enterprise telecom environment.

This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership capability. You will guide migration waves from architecture validation through execution readiness, while aligning with Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), governance, and execution teams.

This is not a hands‑on‑only engineer role — it requires architectural judgment, decision‑making authority, and stakeholder engagement. The role might require flexible working hours to ensure proper coordination with the team members working from EST timezone.

• Lead end‑to‑end migration waves from technical perspective
• Define and validate migration patterns (rehost, replatform, refactor)
• Review and approve target architectures
• Provide architectural guidance to execution teams
• Identify and mitigate technical risks across migration waves
• Align with Cloud Infra Architects, Security, and Governance teams
• Ensure migration readiness criteria are met before cutover
• Support executive‑level reporting on technical migration status
• Act as escalation point for complex technical blockers

• 10+ years of experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering
• Strong experience leading enterprise‑scale AWS migration programs
• Deep understanding of migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain)
• Experience working in structured migration factory or wave‑based migration models
• Ability to lead cross‑functional technical teams
• Strong communication skills across technical and leadership stakeholders

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Experience working with Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) models
• Experience in telecom or large regulated enterprises
• Familiarity with automation‑driven migration frameworks
• Exposure to infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform) environments
