Overview
Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) is responsible for the administration and management of Covered California's enterprise server and cloud infrastructure. The ITS II will have strong cloud governance, optimize cost and operational efficiency, and handle cloud security management. This includes the design, procurement, installation, configuration, operations, patch management, security, recovery, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all critical hardware and software.
The ITS II will serve as Covered California's technical expert on the Azure Cloud technical team.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the cloud and server infrastructure environment through strategic planning, acquisition, and deployments.
- Perform administration and management of Covered California's enterprise server and cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize cost and operational efficiency of the Azure Cloud environment.
- Manage security of the Azure Cloud architecture.
- Oversee design, procurement, installation, configuration, and patch management of critical hardware and software.
- Ensure recovery and maintenance procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience with directory services and identity management such as Active Directory, Entra, SAML, and identity governance administration.
- Experience with domain services such as DNS, DHCP, and PKI.
- Experience with business resilience processes and tools, Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
- Experience with enterprise project management and leadership.
