What You Will Be DoingThe Developer Advocate for the Decision Science Ecosystem platform serves as a critical bridge between the platform engineering team and the internal data science community. This role focuses on enabling data scientists to successfully model and operationalize solutions while optimizing the utilization of shared tools and enterprise data products. You will act as a technical expert, communicator, and community builder to drive the success of the analytics ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the data science community to implement best practices and align with the platform vision.
- Develop and contribute tools that simplify platform operations and create educational content/technical support.
- Gather developer feedback and advocate for community needs to help shape the future direction of products.
- Foster an engaged developer community through events like hackathons, workshops, and meetups.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to data scientists through various communication channels.
- Act as an evangelist for internal technologies and data products, showcasing their value to inspire innovative solutions.
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in libraries like pandas, Num Py, and scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, data science workflows, and MLOps practices.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Experience in creating technical documentation, tutorials, and educational materials.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers.
- Experience with enterprise data science platforms (e.g., DSE) or agricultural domain applications.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes in a data science context.
- Background in developer relations, technical evangelism, or community management roles.
- Experience with content creation such as blog writing, video production, or podcasts.
- Understanding of machine learning model governance and compliance in enterprise environments.
- Experience with data formats and interface description languages such as Protobuf.
Pay: $64.40 - $92.00 /hr.
