Are you looking for a fast‑paced and challenging position that will provide you with extremely valuable subject‑matter expertise experience, extensive variety, and frequent exposure to all levels of management and staff in the Employment Development Department (EDD), Information Technology Branch (ITB)?

The EDD is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the Enterprise Testing Office (ETO) as an IT Specialist II.

This position reports to the Enterprise Testing Office (ETO) Section IT Manager I and is responsible for providing subject‑matter expertise in support of ETO's activities. The ETO plays an integral role in the maintenance and operation of EDD's automated systems by delivering a wide range of testing services, including system testing, performance testing, and automation testing. This role offers an opportunity to apply both business knowledge and technical expertise to ensure the quality of automated systems that serve EDD's internal and external customers.

These systems primarily support the EDD Benefits programs, including Unemployment Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Paid Family Leave.

The successful candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines, and can work well independently and with other team members.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento, CA and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Position is located at EDD's newly built headquarters at 1416 9th Street, Sacramento, California.
