JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an expert-level SQL Server DBA with deep knowledge and understanding of SQL Server internals and hands-on prior experience administering enterprise-level SQL Server environments.

Required experience:

• Excellent communicator with the ability to proactively suggest measurable improvements
• Experience working in complex (enterprise-level) SQL Server environments running in AWS infrastructure
• Experience with advanced MS SQL High Availability (HA) "Always On" solutions
• Full understanding of SQL Server internals
• Expert-level understanding of advanced performance and scalability concepts
• Expert-level performance monitoring and troubleshooting skills using a variety of approaches (DMVs, Extended Events, Perfmon, Profiler, Wait stats, memory pressure analysis, Query Store, etc.)
• Ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries for optimal performance
• Independently troubleshoot and quickly resolve complex production database issues

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree or better
• Microsoft MCSA SQL Server Certification highly desired
• Authorized to work in the US
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Available to work US Pacific hours from 9a - 6p
• The ability to work hybrid in our Chino Hills, CA 3 days per week is required
