Technical Business Analyst

Location: Japan

Role is based out of Japan

We are looking for a business/system analyst with a strong technical background to help our clients digitize their supply chain management and beyond. The ideal candidates possess not only the analytical and technical skills but also soft skills - proactive communicators, problem solvers, independent thinkers that do not shy away from asking (sometimes hard) questions. They must speak and write Japanese at a native or highly professional level and have a good command of English to foster mutual understanding and collaboration.

Technical business analyst will:

* Work closely with our clients to understand their business needs, objectives, and challenges.

* Analyze client's existing systems from data, architecture, APIs and other technical points of view.

* Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows while being able to understand the technical implications and resources needed.

* Translate the identified conceptual business needs into technical requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.

* Work in tight coordination with, and maintain regular communication with Developers and QA Teams on design, development, and testing.

* Develop and utilize standard templates to write requirement specifications accurately and concisely.

* Understand and communicate complex technical concepts to different teams including non-technical stakeholders.

* Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to various audiences.

* Serve as a liaison between our internal team and the client, ensuring clear and effective communication across all project stages.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

* Good command of both English AND Japanese is a must.

* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Japanese.

* Strong technical background with deep understanding of digital transformation, data structures, and system architectures.

* Familiarity with SQL, iOS development and can write basic codes.

* Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.

* Experience in Retail is a plus.
