Logistics Systems Analyst II
We are looking for a Logistics Systems Analyst II to join the Business System Analysis Center of Excellence team in the Business Technology (BT) organization. The Logistics Systems Analyst II will play a vital role in development organization, being responsible for understanding both business and system perspective and provide two-way translation for benefit of technical staff and business stakeholders. On business side the Logistics Systems Analyst II is responsible for understanding processes, goals and objectives, while on technical side - embraces deep understanding of system components, their purpose, dependencies and data they are working on.
This wide scope of insight concentrated within single role enables the Logistics Systems Analyst II to extremely efficiently propose solutions to business problems, clearly translate business requirements to system specification and support delivery teams to accurately address problems without over complicating issues.
The selected candidate should be able to independently manage, support and work towards modernizing Bunge's Grain Applications and should possess adequate knowledge and skill set and experience in the Core responsibility areas mentioned below. They should have expertise in the Power Builder IDE, the proprietary Power Script language, and Data Window technology and should possess essential requirements including strong relational database management skills (SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase) and experience transitioning legacy enterprise applications to modern web or cloud environments.
Main Accountabilities / Core Responsibilities
* Work with Business Analysts, Product Owner and other stakeholders on gathering and documenting project requirements.
* Participate in translating business requirements into product backlog.
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications and create deliverables in different phases of the project lifecycle by decomposing functionality / use cases.
* Identify and evaluate the impact of change requests within the business application and all upstream/downstream systems.
* Maintain contacts with the data provider's IT support team to report any outage or data discrepancy.
* Liaise with onsite and offsite development teams on a daily basis to monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
* Create and review test cases and test plans with the business users. Conduct functional and smoke testing. Track defects and releases.
* Conduct user acceptance testing, user training, and troubleshoot production incidents.
* Software Development:
Design, code, and debug enterprise applications using Power Builder and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
* Database Integration:
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase.
* System Analysis:
Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and evaluate existing systems for improvements.
* Support & Troubleshooting:
Perform root cause analysis, resolve production issues, and optimize application performance.
* Documentation & Compliance:
Document system workflows and ensure system compliance.
Knowledge,
Skills & Qualifications
* Practical knowledge of SDLC and iterative software development approach (e.g. Scrum).
* Proven ability to establish priorities with clear goals and responsibilities to achieve a high level of performance.
* Ability to communicate and explain business problems as well as technical subjects to various audience.
* Ability to work independently, develop business knowledge and drive issue resolution.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
* Understanding of Agile methodologies.
* Certification/trainings from area of system and/or business notation (e.g. UML/BPMN) as well as documentation standards.
* Practical knowledge of data analysis, data model analysis and system impact analysis.
* Understanding of concepts of relational databases, ETL and data integration.
* Basic SQL skills.
* Improve Bunge's outcomes by making data-driven decisions, keeping the customer at the forefront of all they do, and proactively gaining insight into the global strategy.
* Collaborate, effectively communicate with others and take initiative to continually develop themselves.
* Pursue opportunities to solve problems and take action while maintaining the ability to manage work, even in times of challenge or change.
* Power Builder: 5-10+ years of hands-on development experience, typically utilizing Power Builder versions 11.5 through 2022 is a must have.
