Location: Candidate must be located in the California Great-Basin Region
Salary Range: $138,000-$182,000
Position status: Full Time; with benefits

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead day-to-day operations of the GIS Service Center, including workload management, staffing coordination, and service delivery
- Supervise GIS developers, analysts, and technicians; assign tasks and ensure quality control of all outputs
- Manage and maintain enterprise geospatial databases (ArcSDE/geodatabases) and ensure data integrity and accessibility
- Oversee ArcGIS Enterprise environment, including ArcGIS Server, web services, and integrations with DOI cloud infrastructure
- Design and develop GIS applications, tools, and workflows using Esri technologies and modern development frameworks
- Develop and maintain web-based GIS applications and services using JavaScript, HTML, and APIs
- Implement automation and analytical workflows using Python and Model Builder
- Integrate GIS systems with external databases and environmental models (e.g., CALSIM, DHI, LTC)
- Support remote sensing workflows, GPS-based data collection, and field data integration
- Ensure compliance with FGDC ISO metadata standards and enterprise data governance policies
- Review and approve GIS deliverables (maps, reports, dashboards, applications) for accuracy and usability
- Perform system administration tasks including software upgrades, server maintenance, backups, and security
- Recommend and implement hardware/software upgrades based on workload and system performance needs
- Develop cost estimates, staffing plans, and workload projections for GIS initiatives
- Provide user training and technical support for GIS tools including ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, and Dashboards
- Coordinate administrative functions including reporting, billing support, and program oversight
