Sales Enablement Intern

Job Description

The Sales Enablement Instructional Designer Intern role is an integral one within Worldwide Sales Enablement. The Instructional Designer Intern will contribute to our team’s continued growth and scalability as well as the evolution of our training programs.

• Plan upcoming content creation, assist with the development of training videos or webinars, identify older content that needs to be removed or updated, and measure adoption of learning content to improve seller effectiveness.
• Develop learning modules and weekly newsletter communications around Proofpoint's products, systems/tools, processes, sales/presentation/communications skills, value selling, and more using e‑mail communications, e‑learning content, and video trainings.
• Assist with the creation of engaging training materials such as e‑learning modules, video-based learning, webinars, and communications that support seller onboarding, product knowledge, systems and process education, sales and presentation skills, and value selling initiatives.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to update and optimize existing content, manage learning assets, and analyze learner engagement and adoption metrics to improve training effectiveness and accelerate ramp to productivity for new sales hires.
• Leverage AI-enabled and digital content creation tools to enhance content development, streamline workflows, and support scalable learning experiences.
• Work with subject-matter experts to define training course objectives, scope, sequence, and audiences, and identify an appropriate training method such as video shorts, webinars, and email communications.
• Draft and refine communications for sales leaders, including updates, summaries, and enablement announcements using AI-assisted tools.
• Construct simple, polished, and engaging content such as video shorts, voiceovers, and video animations or edits to improve understanding and brand alignment.
• Support operations in learning management systems, including uploading new content and tracking utilization of course materials.
• Create summaries and reports from raw utilization and engagement data to help sales leaders understand training adoption and effectiveness.

• Foundational knowledge of Instructional Design or Lesson Planning.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to create content for multiple mediums and audiences.
• Proven time-management skills to effectively coordinate multiple projects.
• Experience working cross-functionally to complete projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with technical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
• Fluency with AI tools (ChatGPT), Excel, PowerPoint, and video editing software.
• Previous experience working in the technology industry.
• Proficiency in instructional design principles, written communications, and content creation, video editing, and analytical tools.
