SRE​/Performance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end observability and performance reliability for Kubernetes and Red Hat Open Shift platforms
• Develop, debug, and execute performance test scripts using tools such as k6, Load Runner, or JMeter across web applications, Oracle forms, APIs, and TELNET-based systems
• Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead optimization efforts across distributed systems
• Build and maintain custom dashboards and alerts in Grafana and Splunk to support ongoing monitoring and reliability efforts
• Analyze performance test results and produce clear, actionable performance and reliability insights and reports for technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate across teams within CI/CD pipeline workflows using Git Hub

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
• 4-8 years of IT experience with a strong focus on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Performance Engineering, Observability, and Dev Ops practices
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat Open Shift platforms, including ingress, Istio service mesh, and full‑stack telemetry across metrics, logs, traces, and events
• In‑depth hands‑on experience with at least one APM tool such as Grafana Application Observability, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Datadog, New Relic, or similar
• Hands‑on experience with at least one performance testing tool (e.g., k6, Load Runner, JMeter, or similar)
• Solid experience building, configuring, and maintaining custom dashboards and alerts using Grafana and Splunk;
  Prometheus experience a plus
• Experience working with Git Hub and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with one or more programming languages including JavaScript, Python, C, and Java
• Preferred experience with SQL and No
  
  SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data analysis tools such as Toad or SQL Developer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Salary:
The current base pay range for this position is $81,400.00 to $ annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
