Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.

The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Corning is building the enterprise foundation for how it manages legal and commercial risk worldwide and we're looking for the architect who will own it. As our Enterprise CLM Solution Architect, you'll be the technical owner of Corning's Contract Lifecycle Management platform: the single system of record for contracts across Legal, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and IT. This is a greenfield, multi-year build with strong executive sponsorship and a resume-defining scope, global templates, enterprise integrations, and large-scale migration.

• Own the end to end CLM solution architecture across the full contract lifecycle intake, authoring, negotiation, approval workflows, e-signature, obligation management, renewals, and reporting.
• Define and enforce architectural standards anchored in a "configure, not customize" philosophy that keeps future waves fast.
• Design and own integration architecture across CLM, ERP, sourcing, identity/SSO, e-signature (Docu Sign), and downstream reporting systems.
• Partner with Legal, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and IT to translate legal and business requirements into scalable, auditable technical designs.
• Lead the data and metadata strategy that powers reliable reporting and analytics, accounting for global data residency and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver the near-term roadmap: NDA and Contract Request MVP, NDA migration from Ariba to Icertis, SSO and Docu Sign integrations, and harmonization of sell-side templates.
• Govern a high-quality migration of ~30,000 legacy contracts, including validation and reconciliation, and steer the transition from implementation to steady-state operations.

• 5–7+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in solution architecture.
• Hands-on experience architecting and operating enterprise SaaS platforms, with a configuration over customization mindset.
• Strong integration-architecture background SSO, e-signature (Docu Sign preferred), and ERP/CRM.
• Data modeling and metadata-strategy experience supporting reporting and analytics.
• Large-scale system or document migration experience, including validation and reconciliation.
• Delivery in regulated, change controlled environments using product-centric, agile methods.
• Excellent stakeholder management able to translate technical concepts for non-technical Legal and business audiences.

• Direct CLM platform experience (Icertis preferred; Conga, Docu Sign CLM, Ironclad, or Sirion Labs also valued).
• SAP Ariba / source to contract background (relevant to the Ariba Icertis migration).
