Role:
Senior System Administrator (Internally known as Senior Analyst, Information Workplace Services).
Location:
El Segundo, CA. Employment: 100% onsite.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required. Security Clearance:
Active/due for Top Secret DoD clearance required prior to start date.
- Provision, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software for Linux infrastructure in classified programs.
- Support lab environments on workstations that interact with or control Special Test Equipment (STE).
- Server and storage management—hardware and logical/physical storage, cross‑platform authentication and access management, data backup and restoration, software and license configuration, workstation support.
- Design, implement, and maintain solutions for Linux servers, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Integrate Active Directory authentication (Kerberos, LDAP, Centrify).
- Configure and maintain SMTP, DHCP, DNS, NIS, LDAP, CIFS, NFS, Samba, and
* NIX system security. - Backup and disaster‑recovery using products such as Symantec Net Backup.
- Deploy security infrastructure products (e.g., antivirus).
- Gather requirements, design, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Install applications in multi‑server environments.
- Use an IT incident/service‑request system.
- Diagnose HP server and storage hardware.
- University degree or equivalent experience, and minimum of 5years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with at least 3years).
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Top Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience supporting Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, VMware, administration, backup and recovery.
- Must obtain DoDD
8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6months of start date.
- VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) experience.
- HP MSA storage, RAID configuration.
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy.
- Domain controllers, global catalogs, DNS, DHCP.
- Infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Knowledge of NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, DoD/RMF.
- Data storage, NAS, SAN technologies.
- IT project lifecycle management.
- VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX and other virtualization.
- Microsoft WSUS, MECM, Exchange.
- Scripting.
- Salary range: $95,500–$181,700 (USD).
