This position is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing IT infrastructure for new offices domestically and internationally. Responsibilities include analysis, planning, and deployment of network and unified communications technologies based on predefined standards. The role also involves ordering telecommunications circuits and related equipment.
Responsibilities- Create IT network and unified communications designs for projects based on predefined standards.
- Travel to domestic and international facilities to deploy IT infrastructure for new offices, remodels, and moves.
- Provide technical support for network, unified communications equipment, printers, conference room technology, low voltage design, Windows and Mac PCs.
- Coordinate ordering, configuration, inventory, and shipment of equipment.
- Order, track, and implement telecommunications circuits.
- Create and maintain documentation associated with implemented projects.
- Perform individual and group training for employees on enterprise voice, video, and end‑user computing offerings.
- Administer corporate data centers by installing IT equipment in cabinets, installing cabling, assisting with troubleshooting, designing cabinet power requirements, and maintaining documentation.
- Perform server administration, patching, and maintenance.
- Work closely with employees to understand and resolve pain points within the environment.
- Stay abreast of market changes and emerging technologies.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation.
- Understanding of networking configuration, including IP subnetting, wireless, routing, switching, IP telephony, and the deployment of voice and video equipment.
- Understanding of ordering, installing, and maintaining telecommunications circuits and associated equipment.
- Two years of college or equivalent post‑high‑school education.
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain a passport and travel 15%-50% of the time, sometimes on short notice.
- Availability for limited after‑hours support, including weekends and holidays.
- A self‑starter with a strong desire to learn.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to interact with vendors and coworkers positively and provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and install IT equipment into cabinets.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
- 3+ years of IT‑related experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing networks or working with unified communication equipment.
Salary range: $35 per hour – $50 per hour. Actual salary is based on a variety of factors. Geographic locations may differ. Eligible for variable incentive compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
