Job Description

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Training Engineering (GTE) Team is seeking a mission-driven First-Line Manager to lead the Innovation & Workforce Team. This role will combine people leadership with hands-on strategy execution — owning technology roadmap refinement, investment prioritization, and workforce planning to ensure GTE has the right skills, capacity, and talent pipeline to deliver next?generation Government Training systems and capabilities.

Position

Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow the Innovation & Workforce Team: hire, coach, set objectives, run performance reviews, and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.
  • Own workforce planning for the GTE organization: assess current and future capability needs, define role profiles, plan hiring and upskilling, and align resource allocation to roadmap priorities.
  • Lead refinements of technology roadmaps by partnering with engineering subject-matter experts and program stakeholders.
  • Lead investment planning and prioritization across the organization to ensure alignment of people, funding, and technology efforts with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate on product licensing and intellectual property strategies to enable partnerships and maximize value.
  • Provide structure and thought leadership in ambiguous, complex environments — translate strategy into actionable plans and rapidly incorporate lessons learned.
  • Create value with pragmatic, novel solutions that may challenge the status quo while ensuring operational feasibility.
  • Represent the Innovation & Workforce Team across the organization and with external partners as needed to build alignment and partnership opportunities.
  • Strong communication, organization, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
