As a Senior Power BI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards and data models that deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Create data models, DAX measures, and Power Query transformations to support business logic.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into visual analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization across reports.
- Implement security policies and role‑based access controls for sensitive data.
- Integrate Power BI with cloud platforms (Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, Data Factory pipelines).
- Support incremental data loads, SSIS packages, and scheduled refresh jobs.
- Provide training and documentation for end‑users and business teams.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and recommend enhancements.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Azure services, including Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake.
- Hands‑on experience with SSIS, Python, and PySpark (preferred).
- Understanding of Power BI licensing, capacity planning, and deployment pipelines.
- Ability to work with large datasets, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 4 years in Power BI.
- Experience in CPG, healthcare, or financial domains is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to design thinking, user‑first reporting, and KPI‑driven dashboards.
The wage range for this role is estimated at $150,000 - $170,000. Additional discretionary bonus eligibility may apply. Compensation decisions are dependent on skill set, experience, and other business factors.
