About the Position
This position is part of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees in DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must follow U.S. Code, Title 10 and Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. The role is based in the Mission Support Element for Jungle Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Polk Assistant Chief of Staff, G2 at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

- Leading and administering a multi‑disciplined security program in the Federal government or private sector
- Developing and applying policies and procedures to safeguard national security intelligence, counterintelligence, operational, and personnel security‑related information
- Conducting threat assessments, developing and maintaining databases on terrorist threats, and presenting findings that are perceived as a threat to DOD personnel and/or property
- Applying policies, rules, regulations, and laws to the retention of sensitive/classified information to determine acceptance or rejection
