Operational Resiliency Manager
Reporting to the SVP of Information Technology, the Operational Resiliency Manager leads enterprise resiliency strategy and execution, advancing the program from initial stand‑up to measurable maturity. The role partners with executive leadership, Information Security, IT, Facilities, People Success, and business leaders to integrate resiliency into daily operations and long‑term transformation efforts.
Responsibilities- Design and implement the enterprise Organizational Resiliency strategy, including vision, roadmap, maturity model, and success metrics.
- Establish the foundational program structure (policies, standards, governance, roles, RACI, operating cadence) where limited or no formal program exists.
- Define and track program maturity milestones, transitioning from ad-hoc practices to standardized, tested, and optimized capabilities.
- Align resiliency strategy with business growth, technology modernization, cloud adoption, and evolving threat landscapes.
- Build and maintain the Resilience Governance Framework and provide executive and board level reporting on resiliency posture, gaps, risks, and maturity progress.
- Partner with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Information Security to ensure resiliency capabilities meet regulatory, audit and enterprise risk expectations.
- Coordinate Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical processes, dependences, recovery priorities, and tolerance thresholds; establish plan maintenance, validation, and testing standards.
- Act as a primary resource for business owners to provide guidance on continuity planning.
- Build and operationalize the IT Disaster Recovery program, aligned to enterprise resiliency objectives and IT strategy; plan, execute, and mature technical DR testing.
- Establish and maintain the Crisis Management framework, including roles, escalation protocols, decision authority, and communications workflows; provide crisis communication artifacts.
- Partner with Information Security leadership to integrate BC/DR and business recovery considerations into Cyber Incident Response processes; support maturation of cyber response readiness.
- Integrate Emergency Response activities into broader enterprise resiliency framework; maintain alignment with security, facilities, and safety stakeholders.
- Design and execute a progressive, multi-year exercise program spanning BC, DR, cyber, and crisis scenarios; lead tabletop exercises and recovery tests.
- Develop and implement a structured, role-based training program that defines resiliency responsibilities and fosters organization-wide resilience culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or a related field (equivalent practical experience may be considered).
- 7+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, organizational resiliency, IT operations, information security, risk management, or related discipline; experience managing cross-functional initiatives or program work streams.
- Management-level experience coordinating business, technology, security, facilities, and executive stakeholders during planning, testing, response, recovery, or post-incident activities.
- Preferred certifications: CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, ITIL, PMP.
Base pay range: $108,015 – $132,831 – $160,193. Annual discretionary bonus and stock award are possible. Benefits include healthcare, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan with 50% company match up to 6% of eligible compensation, wellness benefits, generous PTO accrual, 12 paid holidays, and paid volunteer time.
Work ArrangementHybrid:
Monday through Thursday in‑office at the San Diego (Del Mar area) headquarters; remote on Friday.
