Job Description

Overview:
The Data Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the organization’s data assets and ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining data management policies and procedures to support the organization's data needs. The Data Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize data processes and implement data governance best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data management strategies and policies.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data systems and databases.
  • Lead data quality initiatives and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks and standards.
  • Manage data security and access control policies.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure data availability and performance.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Provide guidance on data compliance and privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data professionals.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation and metadata.
  • Participate in project planning and resource allocation for data initiatives.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes across the organization.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of data management tools and technologies.
  • Participate in the development of data architecture and data modeling.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management or related roles.
  • Proficient in SQL and database management systems.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Experience with data quality management and assurance.
  • Proven experience in project management and leading data initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Certifications in data management or related fields are a plus.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools in the data management space.
