Distinguished Technology Strategist, Emerging Tech

• Identify and assess emerging technologies, trends, and market signals that could influence AVEVA's long-term product and platform strategy
• Translate technical exploration into business-relevant insights, strategic recommendations, and investment priorities
• Partner with Fellows, product leaders, and R&D teams to align technology trends with AVEVA's innovation roadmap
• Develop technology points of view, frameworks, and playbooks for leveraging new technologies
• Communicate findings across the organization to enable informed decision-making and cross-functional alignment
• Report directly to the VP & Fellow for Emerging Tech Trends & Priorities
• Shape AVEVA's product strategy, architecture, customer value, long-term investments, and innovation direction

• 10+ years of experience in technology strategy, emerging technology research, innovation scouting, or a similar technical leadership role
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, industrial IoT, cloud data platforms, edge architectures, and open-source ecosystems
• Proven ability to analyze and synthesize complex technical topics into clear, actionable guidance
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across product, engineering, and research organizations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences
• Curiosity and passion for exploring new technologies, frameworks, and market shifts
• Ability to imagine bold future possibilities and articulate a vision for long-term technology evolution
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a track record of driving decisions and shaping direction
• Collaborative, transparent, and confident communication style
• Experience developing technology POVs, roadmaps, or strategic frameworks
