Senior Design Producer – Design System Governance

• Lead scalable workflows and governance models for design delivery across web, mobile, and in-vehicle experiences
• Own and run design system governance, including intake, prioritization, decision forums, and release communications
• Coordinate component and library releases, deprecation and migration efforts, documentation, guidelines, and patterns
• Identify design-system needs and inconsistencies across products, brands, and regions
• Drive cross-collaborative production efforts by defining milestones, aligning dependencies, managing backlogs, and sequencing system changes
• Facilitate alignment across design, product, engineering, and brand partners
• Define and maintain quality and release-readiness checklists, standards, and logistics
• Build and maintain roadmaps, work boards, risk and decision logs, and intake dashboards
• Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers and drive structured resolution paths
• Standardize tools, workflows, templates, playbooks, and reference materials for design operations
• Co-create and refine governance rituals such as grooming, prioritization forums, and release reviews
• Mentor and coach producers and design partners
• Partner across vehicle operating system, web, and app teams to ensure coherent, scalable digital experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of experience in digital product design operations, production, program or project management, or a related role supporting software or experience design teams
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives across design, product management, engineering, and brand
• Experience delivering digital experiences across web, mobile, or in-vehicle interfaces
• Ability to organize complex, multi-team work and maintain robust tracking systems
• Experience creating clear summaries, plans, and status updates for practitioners and leadership
• Experience designing and facilitating governance and working sessions
• Familiarity with collaborative design libraries, digital whiteboarding, and agile work-management tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate with high ownership in a hybrid environment and reliably report to a designated GM location
• Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future
• Required to travel less than 25%
