$8,625.00 - $11,557.00 per Month

Under general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the incumbent works within the department’s Infrastructure Network and Help Center Office in support of the mission of the department through the protection of the confidentiality, security, and availability of department information resources and through the continuous improvement of the department’s information security program. Areas of responsibility include supporting the mission of Cal Recycle through the design, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise Service Now solutions, IT Service Management processes, and related technical services.
The incumbent ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of departmental information systems and contributes to the reliability and effectiveness of enterprise service management operations.
The incumbent functions in multiple capacities, including technical lead, subject matter expert, team lead, team member, and independent analyst. Responsibilities include the design and development of Service Now solutions; administration of the platform; leadership in platform governance; ITSM process support and enhancement; data analysis and reporting; stakeholder consultation; and participation in departmental IT initiatives. The incumbent is expected to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical staff, management, and program personnel, prepare documentation and reports, facilitate meetings, and contribute to organizational planning efforts.
As of July 1st, 2026, the position is office-centered, and employees will be expected to report to the office at least four days per week. This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program needs. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework.
Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the positions designated headquarter location, as reflected on the duty statement and at their own expense.
