Manager, User Guide Strategy and Operations

• Manage a team of UX designers and technical writers focused on Omnipod Dash, Omnipod 5, Omnipod View, and Omnipod Simulator App across iOS and Android
• Develop and coach a multidisciplinary UX team across East and West Coast offices
• Balance team development and user experience development
• Infuse the Simplicity, Freedom and Happiness brand promise into designs, deliverables, and collaborations
• Reduce complexity in mobile app designs, deliverables, and collaborations
• Engage, hire, and manage UX vendors, including purchase orders, invoice approvals, and oversight of work and deliverables
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Software Development, Human Factors, Clinical, and Regulatory
• Translate strategy into a multi-year roadmap with operational goals and objectives
• Drive user-centered design best practices through the Agile process
• Integrate design research throughout the project lifecycle with the UX Research team
• Build and manage a multidisciplinary UX team in a SAFe Agile development environment

• Bachelor's degree (HCI, Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors and/or equivalent) required
• 7+ years of relevant experience in UX and product design
• At least 3 years of management experience, including managing a large UX team working on mobile app development
• Experience with commercial execution for consumer-facing digital and physical products
• Knowledge of medical device development is a plus
• Thorough knowledge of the diabetes disease state preferred
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams on high-visibility initiatives
• Advanced working knowledge of User Experience methods and Design thinking process
• Understanding of systems and data management
• Technical proficiency with UX tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Abstract, XD, or equivalent
• Strong UX portfolio required
• International travel expected at least once per quarter
• Ongoing US travel as needed, at least once per quarter
• In-person team / onsite in San Diego, CA

Demonstrates expertise in managing multidisciplinary UX teams and driving user-centered design best practices within a SAFe Agile development environment. Proficient in integrating design research and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance mobile app development for consumer-facing products.
