IT Systems Engineer

VBA is looking for an early-career IT Systems Engineer to work alongside our Director of IT and gain hands-on experience supporting real business technology environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, solving problems, learning new systems, and occasionally going on-site to help deploy technology for clients.

As VBA grows, this role will have opportunities to take ownership of larger systems and deployment projects.

• Configure and deploy computers, phones, peripherals, and other business technology.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 and user/device setup.
• Help deploy and support business phone and VoIP/SIP systems.
• Travel to client locations in the St. Louis area for installations and technical support when needed.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, access, and configuration issues.
• Assist with employee technology onboarding and offboarding.
• Test equipment and systems before deployment.
• Maintain clear documentation for configurations and deployments.
• Assist the Director of IT with infrastructure, security, and other technology projects.
• Help evaluate and implement new technology as VBA and its products grow.

• Current student, recent graduate, or early-career professional interested in IT, systems engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• Comfortable troubleshooting computers and learning unfamiliar technology.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to research solutions.
• Able to communicate professionally with team members and clients.
• Dependable and able to work independently after receiving direction.
• Comfortable performing occasional on-site work in the St. Louis area.
• Previous experience with Microsoft 365, networking, VoIP, hardware deployment, or similar technologies is helpful but not required
