- Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain enterprise systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure, emphasizing cloud computing technologies.
- Provide hands-on technical delivery, expert guidance, and operational support across infrastructure planning, implementation, and enterprise operations.
- Conduct technical research and development to enable innovation within hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Ensure on-premises and cloud systems, platforms, and procedures adhere to organizational values, security baselines, and regulatory compliance mandates.
- Author technical specifications, project plans, system configurations, and test validation results.
- Communicate architectural designs, risks, and project milestones to project teams and executive stakeholders.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on data restore and disaster recovery capabilities across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Coordinate, execute, validate, and document disaster recovery failover operations in enterprise cloud environments.
- Ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance of critical applications and workloads in cloud environments.
- Develop, integrate, configure, and oversee enterprise storage arrays, Fibre Channel switches, and storage fabric components.
- Maintain, optimize, and administer enterprise backup and recovery solutions across hybrid infrastructures.
- Research, architect, and implement scalable file-sharing and NAS technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage degradations, hybrid connectivity issues, and system anomalies across on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Perform systems health checks, capacity forecasting, and preventative maintenance across storage and cloud compute resources.
- Conduct storage analysis, capacity modeling, and performance tuning for tiered storage components.
- Author, review, and maintain operational policies, SOPs, and architectural documentation.
- Prepare technical reports on storage administration best practices, emerging cloud technologies, and modernization strategies.
- Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance required (IT-I / Critical-Sensitive determination / Tier 5 SSBI investigation required).
- DoD Approved 8570 / 8140 baseline certification required: IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP).
- Required Computing Environment (CE) certification: at least one of AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Net App Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator, Net App Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect, Net App Certified Hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer, Cohesity Certified Protection Associate – Data Protect, or Cohesity Certified Protection Professional – Net Backup. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience in systems engineering, including evaluating, constructing, and integrating enterprise-level storage and backup platforms.
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands‑on experience architecting and managing hybrid storage infrastructure across public cloud platforms (AWS and/or Microsoft Azure).
- Minimum of two (2) years of hands‑on experience with enterprise SAN management, including Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE unified fabric, HBAs/CNAs, storage controllers, LUN allocation, and RAID arrays.
- Minimum of two (2) years of hands‑on experience managing hierarchical storage and enterprise backup/restore toolsets, such as AWS Backup, Microsoft Azure Recovery Services/Site Recovery, OCI Backup & DR, and Cohesity/Net Backup solutions.
