Overview
The Claims Adjuster is responsible for managing and adjudicating claims related to GAP products. Key duties include reviewing, analyzing, and processing claims in adherence to contractual terms and internal policies. The role involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders including JM&A associates, customers, lenders, dealerships, insurance companies, and third-party F&I product providers. Efficient management of claim inventory, timely follow-up on claims, and ensuring accuracy in data entry and claims processing are critical aspects of the position.
Responsibilities- Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and processing claims for the GAP products
- Accurately investigate and adjudicate claims in accordance with the contract/addendum, while adhering to internal policies and procedures
- Work closely with JM&A associates, customers, lenders, dealerships, insurance companies and third party F&I product providers
- Responsible for efficiently managing an inventory of claims and balancing workload between new claims, existing claims, and managing their follow up in a timely manner
- Review and adjust claims as needed to ensure accuracy of data entry and claims processing that is in adherence with contract terms / departmental policy and procedure
- Review insurance company vehicle evaluations for accuracy and completion of key details and follow up with insurance company when discrepancies are found (options, assessments, etc.)
- Obtain and review vehicle retail valuations (e.g. NADA Valuation) in accordance with addendum/contract requirements
- Obtain and administer internal and external F&I product refunds as required for each claim
- Communicate with all parties related to the claim such as contract holders, lenders, insurance companies, etc.
- Assume roles within the department as business needs arise
The applicant must have either a Resident Florida Adjuster License 620 or Non Resident Florida Adjuster License 720.
- Ideal candidates should possess recent experience in automotive claims adjusting, demonstrating a strong understanding of claims investigation and adjudication processes.
- They should have proficiency in reviewing insurance company evaluations and vehicle retail valuations (such as NADA Valuation) in alignment with contract requirements.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively liaising with contract holders, lenders, insurance companies, and other relevant parties.
- Flexibility to assume varied roles within the department as business needs evolve is also expected.
