Claims Manager, Professional Liability

• Actively manage E&O claims within the Professional Liability/Cyber Claims Group
• Evaluate coverage
• Draft coverage correspondence
• Undertake claims investigations
• Manage defense counsel and legal spend
• Assess liability and financial exposure
• Negotiate cost-effective, good-faith claims resolutions
• Evaluate, mediate, and negotiate E&O claims, including class actions
• Lead and drive defense strategy
• Collaborate with internal and external partners
• Ensure client files are properly documented and compliant from an audit perspective

• 5-8 years of experience in the insurance/legal profession dealing specifically with Professional Lines claims
• In-depth understanding of policy language/coverage
• Experience managing, evaluating, mediating, and negotiating E&O claims, including class actions
• Ability to lead and drive defense strategy
• In-depth knowledge of the U.S. legal system, civil litigation, and ADR proceedings
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state laws applicable to claims under Financial and Professional Lines policies
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
• Ability to multi-task
• Proactive and self-initiating approach
• Excellent organization skills and ability to maintain audit-compliant client files
• Bachelor's degree
• Prior experience handling Cyber, lawyers and/or accountants professional liability claims preferred
• Juris Doctorate preferred

Demonstrates expertise in managing E&O claims within the Professional Liability and Cyber Claims sectors, with a strong focus on evaluating coverage, negotiating resolutions, and ensuring compliance with audit standards. Possesses in-depth knowledge of the U.S. legal system and applicable federal and state laws governing Financial and Professional Lines policies.
