Description We are looking for a dedicated Attorney to join our well-established personal injury firm in Chesterfield, Missouri. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, wrongful death, and workers' compensation claims. Responsibilities:
- Manage personal injury cases from intake through resolution, ensuring all legal processes are handled efficiently.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Represent clients in court for cases requiring litigation, including drafting motions and conducting oral arguments.
- Conduct detailed research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, demand letters, and correspondence.
- Handle client intakes and provide compassionate guidance throughout their legal journey.
- Investigate and resolve medical liens associated with cases.
- Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and ensure thorough preparation.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding case progress.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting personal injury claims. Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active attorney license in Missouri.
- At least 2 years of experience handling personal injury cases, including pre-litigation and litigation.
- Strong skills in legal writing, communication, and oral argument.
- Proven ability to negotiate settlements and advocate effectively for clients.
- Experience managing cases involving auto accidents, wrongful death, and workers' compensation claims.
- Proficiency in civil litigation processes, including discovery and briefing.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help injury victims.
- Familiarity with researching and resolving medical liens is preferred.
