About the Role:We’re looking for an experienced California litigation attorney to manage an active caseload through all phases of litigation and post-judgment enforcement. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining strong client service and high-quality legal work.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a litigation caseload from initial pleadings through resolution, including post-judgment enforcement.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and related correspondence.
- Handle motion practice and appear in court as needed.
- Evaluate matters and make suit/strategy decisions in collaboration with internal litigation and post-judgment teams.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, self-represented parties, and court staff.
- Implement and execute strategies to collect on judgments on behalf of firm clients (e.g., debtor exams, writs, levies, liens, wage garnishments, and other enforcement remedies as applicable).
- Conduct legal research and provide practical, well-reasoned recommendations.
- Maintain thorough documentation and case notes consistent with firm and client policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to administrative and legal support staff; assist with training as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Active California Bar license in good standing (required).
- 4+ years of civil litigation experience (collections litigation and/or judgment enforcement experience strongly preferred).
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Knowledge of California state court rules and procedures; familiarity with federal practice is a plus.
- Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits and consistent follow-through.
- Collaborative, professional demeanor with strong client service instincts.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment without sacrificing quality.
