Employment Associate
Location: Los Angeles, California
A top-tier global law firm is seeking a high-performing employment associate to join its Los Angeles Employment Practice. This is a fast-paced, high-calibre platform for associates who thrive in demanding environments and want to work on sophisticated, market-leading employment matters.
The role offers exposure to complex California employment litigation alongside advisory work for major employers, with strong mentorship and clear long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities- Advise and defend employers in wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters.
- Handle single-plaintiff employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal court.
- Support case strategy, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Work closely with partners on high-profile, high-stakes matters.
- 2 years of California employment law experience (litigation and advisory).
- Exposure to wage and hour, PAGA, and employment discrimination matters.
- Strong academic credentials with excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Comfortable operating in a demanding, high-performance environment.
- Admitted to practice in California (required).
- Experience with non-compete, trade secrets, or traditional labour matters is a plus.
- Salary: $225,000–$260,000
