Secured Transactions / Commercial Finance Attorney
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
Role OverviewThe firm is seeking a Secured Transactions / Commercial Finance Attorney to join its transactional practice. This role focuses on lender-side and commercial finance matters, with significant responsibility, client interaction, and exposure to complex transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security agreements, and related financing documents
- Advise clients on secured transactions under UCC Article 9
- Prepare and file UCC-1 financing statements and manage perfection of security interests
- Conduct due diligence related to borrowers and collateral
- Advise lenders on risk assessment, structuring, and compliance issues
- Counsel clients on enforcement rights and remedies in default scenarios
- Collaborate closely with partners and clients on transaction strategy
- 3–7 years of experience in secured transactions, commercial finance, or banking law
- Strong working knowledge of UCC Article 9
- Experience drafting and negotiating loan and security documentation
- Familiarity with UCC filings and perfection of security interests
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with partners and clients
The annual salary for this position is between $175,000 – $230,000
. The firm may be open to the higher end of the range for the right candidate. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
